Best Places to Workout Outside
Posted by Deidre

Working out on the go can be tough, especially when you don’t have any workout equipment with you or a dedicated gym to use.

Here’s some of our favorite places to utilize for getting no equipment workouts outside of the ordinary routine:

Children’s playgrounds - Playgrounds usually have equipment you can use if you’re willing to get creative. Even if you have something like a pull up bar (usually at varying heights) you can use them to do pull ups, toes to bar, and things like jumping bar muscle ups.
Long sets up stairs - You can get in a great workout with a good set up stairs. From running them, do completing “box jumps” on them, you can use stairways combined with bodyweight movements to get your heart rate up.

Retaining walls - With retaining walls, it depends on the height to determine the best movements to do. You can do step ups, box jumps, practice the negative of a pistol, or even do wall hops using your arms to jump you up and over the wall.

If you’re looking to switch up the scenery for your workout, get out into the outdoors and soak up some sunshine for a boost in vitamin D while getting in your WOD.
